Specific details for Pickleball are listed below:
- Entry Fee: $30.00/player including First Event. Second & Third Events are $10.00 each.
- Events will start with round robins and move to elimination - formats for these will be determined once numbers are finalised.
- You can play in more than one event during the tournament (maximum of 3) but the second and third events need to be in a different categories e.g. Mixed Doubles, Doubles or Singles.
- Finals matches will be best out of three games to 11 with a win by 2.
- Players are guaranteed at least two games per event with the likelihood of three games or more.
- Medals will be awarded to gold, silver and bronze winning competitors for each bracket.
The Tournament will commence with an address to all players at 9.00am on Saturday 22nd October 2022.
The tournament director reserves the right to modify the events and/or schedule as needed pending influences beyond our control (ie. Fire drill, Covid restrictions).
Any event with fewer than 3 entries will be combined with another event of the closest possible standard. Should this be deemed necessary, medals will still be awarded for each event that has been combined with another. This will be at the Tournament Directors discretion and their decision will be final.
A registration is considered complete when the Team is complete. BOTH players must register for the entry to be complete.
All participants must be members of Pickleball Australia. Anyone who is a member of their state association (such as PAT) or a club (such as Kingborough), is automatically a member of PAA. If you are not a member by the time you check-in you will be charged the membership fee at that time. You will need to know your PAA membership number.
Participants are required to enter events at their current skill rating. If you are not rated, consult the self rating guide on the PANSW website.
If you are unavoidably detained and it appears that you will not arrive in time for your game/match, please contact the Tournament Director. We can update you on the schedule and consider options but your game may result in a forfeit.
If you have a partner or friend attending the tournament with you, or if you are not playing in all 3 events, you, or they, may have some time available to help out as a Volunteer. Any help would be much appreciated as this event relies on volunteers to run smoothly.
