Temple Terrace Fall Kickoff

Saturday, September 19, 2026

A one-day pickleball tournament open to all skill levels, featuring Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Mixed Doubles, Men's Doubles, and Women's Doubles. Every player is guaranteed at least three games plus a playoff round.

Exact match times will be posted once brackets are finalized based on registration numbers.

Men's Doubles (MD) 3.0-3.49, 3.5-3.99, 4.0-4.99

Women's Doubles (WD) 2.5-2.99, 3.0-3.49, 3.5-3.99

Men's Singles (MS) 3.0-3.49, 3.5-3.99, 4.0-4.99

Women's Singles (WS) 2.5-2.99, 3.0-3.49, 3.5-3.99

Mixed Doubles (MX) 2.5-2.99, 3.0-3.49, 3.5-3.99

Divisions are based on DUPR rating. Age-based divisions and additional brackets may be added, combined, or split based on registration numbers.

Format

Every player is guaranteed at least three games and a playoff. The tournament format (single elimination, double elimination, or round robin plus playoff) will be determined and announced based on final registration numbers per division.

Registration

Entry fee: $40 for the first event, $15 for each additional event (e.g., a player entering Men's Singles and Men's Doubles pays $55, plus processing fees).

Deadline: Registration closes Saturday, September 12, 2026, one week before the event.

How to register: Register online and select your event(s) and division(s).

Ratings: Divisions are DUPR-based. Players self-report or verify their DUPR rating at registration.

Lineups & Match Notifications

Bracket assignments, match times, and court assignments will be posted online once registration closes and brackets are finalized.

Players are responsible for checking the schedule and arriving at their assigned court at least 15 minutes before their scheduled match time.

Schedules, brackets, and results are available anytime on the tournament page, including on mobile.

Substitute Policy

Doubles teams may use a substitute player if a partner becomes unavailable before the event.

Substitutes must be of a similar DUPR rating to the player they are replacing and must be approved by the organizer prior to the player's first match.

Singles events are not eligible for substitution.

What to Bring

Your own paddle.

Court-appropriate non-marking shoes are required.

Anything else that allows you to compete safely.

Refund Policy

Refund and Weather Policy

All registration fees are non-refundable after registration is submitted. Registrations are not transferable unless the organizer approves an exception in writing.

If a participant withdraws before registration closes, a refund or credit may be issued at the organizer's discretion, less any non-recoverable processing fees.

Because this is an outdoor pickleball event, weather may affect match timing, court availability, and the ability to complete the schedule. Every reasonable effort will be made to make up lost games caused by weather, including delays, rescheduling, shortened formats, or other schedule adjustments.

If weather prevents completion of the event, the organizer will determine the best available remedy based on the amount of play completed, court access, facility costs, and safety considerations. In general, no refund will be issued for weather delays, postponements, or partial completion of play, but the organizer may offer a credit, partial refund, or make-up opportunity if appropriate.

If the event is fully canceled by the organizer before meaningful play occurs, a refund or credit may be issued at the organizer's discretion.

Safety decisions related to rain, lightning, wet courts, extreme heat, or other hazardous conditions are final.

This is an outdoor event and play is subject to weather conditions.

The organizer monitors conditions throughout the event and has sole authority to delay, suspend, or resume play at any time.

If play is suspended, players and captains will be notified on-site and, where possible, through the tournament platform.

The organizer will make every reasonable effort to resume and complete the schedule the same day, including shortened formats, adjusted match counts, or extended hours.

If conditions do not allow the event to be completed as scheduled, the organizer will determine the best path forward, which may include continuing the next day, seeding remaining rounds based on results completed, or ending the event early.

Players should plan for the possibility of delays and should not assume a fixed end time for the event.

Participants play at their own risk. Pickleball involves physical activity, and participants are responsible for assessing their own fitness to play.

Bring water and stay hydrated, particularly during outdoor play in warm conditions. Players are responsible for managing their own hydration and rest between matches.

If you feel unwell, dizzy, overheated, or injured at any point, stop play and notify the organizer or a court official immediately.

The organizer will use reasonable judgment to pause or adjust play in the event of extreme heat, lightning, or other hazardous conditions. These safety decisions are final.

Basic first aid may be available on-site, but participants requiring medical attention beyond first aid should seek emergency services directly (call 911).

Players with known medical conditions that could affect their ability to play safely should consult a physician before participating and should inform the organizer of any relevant concerns in advance.

Unsportsmanlike conduct, unsafe behavior, or disregard for safety instructions may result in removal from the event without refund.

By registering, participants acknowledge these risks and agree to follow the direction of tournament staff on all safety matters.
