Winning teams of 3.0 & 3.5 divisions will have the opportunity to win a lesson with one of the following coaches. Each division winner in the will get a lesson as long as there are 6 or more teams in your division. Below is more information about each coach.

Prize money:

For Men's 5.0+ (must have 16 teams to win $1,000) (event fee is $43)

For Senior Pro (must have 10 teams to win $400)

For Men's 4.5+ (must have 10 teams to win $300)

For Women's 4.5+ (must have 12 teams to win $500) (event fee is $32)

For Mixed 4.5+ (must have 12 teams to win $300) (event fee is $32)

For Mixed 5.0+ (must have 16 teams to win $1000) (event fee is $43)

Prize money will be reduced if minimum # of teams is not met). For instance, if there are 10 teams for Men's 5.0, around $500 will be given away.

Coaches info:

John Sanders - Austin based. Instructor known as "Pickle Prof". He has been playing for six years. He has written numerous articles for The Dink and Thepickleprof.com, focusing on pickleball techniques, strategies, and evolution of the game. He has taught at Waterloo and Eastside Pickleball Club.

Gabe Etzel - Austin based. Five years coaching. Two years full time pickleball coaching. Coached at Dreamland, Westlake Country Club, and Pickleball Kingdom. Austin Pickleball Update #4 coach in Austin for 2024.

Matt Ngo - Houston based. 5.0+ player and coach at Pickleball Country Club. Focuses on strategy, cardio, and specific drills during his high-energy lessons. He has been known to deliver positive, impactful training that helps players elevate their game.

Luana Stanciu - Austin based. Six years tennis coaching experience. Three years pickleball coaching (worked with Cliff Drysdale and Peter Burwash International - sport management company). Played D1 tennis and now on the PPA tour since May 2025.

Zoeya Khan - Austin based. Plays on the PPA tour since May 2025. DUPR collegiate player for University of Texas. National Champion and Co-President for Longhorn Pickleball Club. High School State Champion for Tennessee.

Venue: Bapa has 10 outdoor courts.

Prize Money: For any prize money for 4.0, must have 8 teams in division for payout. If 5 teams, winning team will receive event fee back.

DUPR Restrictions: In order to do our best for people not to lose DUPR points over a win, we have a minimum you and your partner must be in order to qualify for a division. Also once you register if your DUPR meets the requirements you are good to play in that division, despite your DUPR rising or lowering after you register.

Please make sure you are in the right division. We will be checking to make sure but if we fail to catch it until the last minute we will move you to the appropriate division.

Merging divisions: We try our best to not merge divisions. If we do decide to merge divisions we will let you know and see if you are fine with that or want a refund.

Times: Approximate start time will be out in early October. Times may change within an hour or two but nothing more than that.

If you need to back out of the tournament and it is outside of 14 days of the event you will receive refund minus a $15 processing fee. Within 14 days of tournament you will not receive a refund. However we do allow subs. So it is encouraged for you to find someone to take your place if you can't make it.

We will try our best to make this tournament happen even if there is rain in the forecast. If there is rain the format may be shorten. We will also look into indoor facilites as options.

If tournament or your event if canceled you will receive 50% back in credit for a future tournament.
