<b>TEXAS SENIOR GAMES TOURNAMENT AGES 50 AND ABOVE</b>
NO ONLINE REGISTRATION ON PICKLEBALL.COM. Register directly on the <a href="https://txseniorgames.org/" target="_blank" style="color: #0000EE !important;"><b><u>Texas Senior Games site</a></b></u>, not Pickleball.com. After registration closes, all player registrations on the Texas Senior Games site will be ported to Pickleball.com for viewing. More details on the Texas Senor Games site.
<b>REGISTRATION FEES</b>
$60 registration fee and $60 pickleball sport fee when you register on the Texas Senior Games site includes up to 3 events (gender doubles, mixed doubles, and singles).
<b>RATINGS</b>
We use DUPR to ensure fair competition. If a player has no rating (NR) on DUPR, Self Rating on your Pickleball.com player account will be used. The tournament director reserves the right to move any players who are in the wrong brackets. All scores will be submitted to DUPR.
Register for brackets matching your DUPR rating:
- 3.0 and Under bracket: 2.000 - 3.499
- 3.5 bracket: 3.500 - 3.999
- 4.0 bracket: 4.000 - 4.499
- 4.5/5.0 bracket: 4.500 - 5.499
<b>FORMAT</b>
All matches will play a ROUND ROBIN FORMAT to determine winners, 1 game to 15 win by 2. 3 teams/entries will be a double round robin format 1 game to 15 win by 2. 4 teams/entries will be a round robin format 2 of 3 games to 11 win by 2. 5-7 teams/entries will be round robin 1 game to 15 win by 2. 8 or more teams/entries will be pool play followed by a SINGLE ELIMINATION MEDAL ROUND to determine winners. Pre-medal matches will be 1 game to 15 win by 2. GOLD and BRONZE matches will be 2 of 3 games to 11 win by 2. Number of guaranteed games: 4
*Tournament Director reserves the right to make changes that may include, but are not limited to, Start Times, splitting or merging Events, and moving teams to correct skill divisions to enhance the tournament experience.
<b>USA PICKLEBALL RULES</b>
This tournament will follow USA Pickleball rules and players are responsible for ensuring paddles are on either the USA Pickleball or UPA-A approved list. A Certified Head Referee will be on site to answer player questions and handle any disputes on the court. Medal and pre-medal matches will be refereed.
