Welcome to Parkland Pickleheads 13th Annual Summer Smash Tournament. We are capping our registration numbers this year so our tournament days can be shorter. Please register early to secure a spot.

Tournament Dates: July 18-20, 2025

Registration Opens: May 5th, 2025 @ 7pm

Registration Closes: July 5th, 2025 @ 7pm or When Full

This is a Pickleball Canada SANCTIONED tournament. As such, CTPR ratings will be used not DUPR. To view your CTPR rating, log into pickleballtournaments.com, go to your profile, edit profile, click on Membership Associations and see your ratings.

Players are allowed to play up to 1.0 level from current CTPR rating. So, if you're a 3.0 rated CTPR player, you may play 3.0, 3.5, or 4.0. Please be advised, to improve accuracy of the data imported, the CTPR Mixed Doubles and Gender Doubles ratings have been combined into a single Doubles rating, by pickleball.com.

Details are as follows:

- Entry Fee: $70.00/player plus $15.00 per event.

- Friday: Men's Doubles 8am-7pm

- Saturday: Mixed Doubles 8am-7pm

- Sunday: Women's Doubles 8am-7pm

BRACKET FORMATS:

1-3 Teams - Combined with another bracket(s) of same skill level if possible

4-5 teams - Round Robin 1 game to 15, win by 2, based on circumstances (ex. time, weather)

6+ teams - Traditional double-elimination bracket (matches are best 2/3 to 11 on the “A” side of the draw, win by 2). On the “B” side of the draw, each match will consist of 1 game to 15, win by 2.

- All Matches will be referred.

- Medals will be awarded to the top three teams in each (combined) bracket.

- Tournament Ball will be the outdoor yellow Selkirk Pro S1.

** Please ensure you are familiar with the new player/referee rules for 2025**

A registration is considered complete when the Team is complete. BOTH players must register within 2 days of the first player's registration OR the team will be moved to the Wait List.

***YOUR PLAYER PROFILE- should have "Receive in game text messages" checked to "YES" AND Cell Carrier should be selected. This is how you will receive your game notifications and court assignments. FAILURE TO SHOW UP ON TIME FOR YOUR GAMES WILL RESULT IN A FORFEIT***. Please arrive a minimum of 30 mins prior to the start of your event.

• All participants must be members of Pickleball Canada.

• Enter as a team or look under 'Players Needing Partners' to find a partner.

Player requested withdrawals will be accepted until July 5th, 2025, at 7pm, with a full refund less $15 administration fee.

After July 5th, 2025, at 7pm, NO refunds will be provided. NO EXCEPTIONS!

**The tournament director reserves the right to add, combine, modify, or cancel skill levels/events pending registration numbers. Events can also be rescheduled/cancelled as needed pending weather and other outside influences beyond our control (ie. Covid restrictions). This is an outdoor tournament so no refunds will be provided for cancellation beyond our control.**
