Players, please make sure to have EMAIL and TEXT turned on in your pickleballtournaments.com profile. This helps us communicate important updates with players before, during and after the tournament.
To secure your spot in Mixed Doubles or Men’s/Women’s Doubles, both partners must register within 10 days of the first partner signing up. If not, the team may be moved to the waitlist.
The tournament will follow a round robin format, with a minimum of 4 games guaranteed. Top teams will advance to the playoffs.
Advancement will be based on:
1. Round-robin win/loss record
2. If two teams tied, head-to-head with those teams involved
3. If three or more teams tied, point differential of all games played.
Brackets may be combined or split as needed.
Surface indoor hard court.
All paddles must be on the USAP approved paddle list (USAP stamp on the paddle).
USAP rules apply.
Scoring and Match Format ***these could be subject to change.
Traditional Scoring:
Round Robin and Pool Play: Games to 15 (win by 2).
Up to 7 Teams: Games to 15 (win by 2). Top 4 teams advance to semi’s.
8+ Teams: Games to 15 (win by 2). Division split into 2 pools. Top 2 teams from each pool advance to semi’s.
Playoff/Semi Finals: Games to 15 (win by 2).
Medal Matches:
Gold/Silver Bronze Medal Matches: Best 2 out of 3 games to 11 (win by 2).
Bronze Medal Matches: 1 game to 15 (win by 2).
Tournament Director may combine brackets or add more teams as needed to ensure quality play.
Tournament may close at any time if maximum daily numbers are met (even if some events appear to have openings)
There are no referees, all matches are self-officiated. If there are line disputes that can't be agreed upon you may seek assistance from the Tournament Director.
Parking: The Drop Pickleball Club has a parking lot. If the parking lot is full - street parking is free on Fawcett Street and surrounding blocks.
