Tournament Description

Get ready for the first ever 400 Open, October 10 and 11 at The Picklr Cumming.

The 400 Open is the first of many events to come, bringing players from across the region together for a full weekend of competitive pickleball.

The tournament will feature Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles across skill levels 3.0 through 5.0+.

5.0+ Men's and Mixed brackets will have a $1,000 prize pool paid out to the first place team!

Pool play will be round robin, with games to 11, win by 2. The top 4 teams from each division will advance to the playoffs.

Semifinals will be 1 game to 15, win by 2.

Gold medal matches will be best 2 out of 3 games to 11, win by 2.

Bronze medal matches will be 1 game to 15, win by 2.

Every team is guaranteed a minimum of 4 matches.

All brackets will be DUPR monitored, and teams must meet the posted rating requirements for their division. Tournament staff reserves the right to move teams when necessary based on DUPR ratings and competitive balance.

There will also be a certified USA Pickleball official on site throughout the tournament to answer rules questions and officiate matches when needed.

Lifetime Pickleballs will be used for every match and provided by the tournament desk along with a scoresheet. Please return the scoresheet to the tournament desk immediately after your match so we can keep everything moving.

Expect a high energy atmosphere, strong competition, and nonstop pickleball all weekend at The Picklr Cumming.

Whether you are chasing your first medal or coming to compete against some of the best players in the area, The 400 Open is built for players who show up ready to compete.

Each registration will earn you 1 admission in a raffle with a chance to win from a pool of prizes including a brand new JOOLA Pro V Perseus!!

ALL BRACKETS WILL BE DUPR MONITORED

To help create competitive brackets, players must meet the following DUPR requirements:

3.0: Team average greater than 2.50 and no higher than 3.49

3.5: Team average greater than 3.0 and no higher than 3.99

4.0: Team average greater than 3.5 and no higher than 4.49

4.5: Team average greater than 4.0 and no higher than 4.99

5.0+: Open

Tournament organizers reserve the right to move teams into a different bracket based on DUPR ratings when necessary to maintain competitive divisions.

There will be a certified USA Pickleball official on site throughout the tournament to answer any questions regarding rules and regulations. The official will also be available to officiate matches when necessary or when deemed appropriate by tournament staff.

Lifetime Pickleballs are required for every match. Balls and scoresheets will be provided at the tournament desk. Please return your scoresheet promptly after completing your match so we can keep the tournament running smoothly.

Refund Policy

Withdrawals before registration closes on September 29, 2026 will incur a $20 processing fee. Pickleball.com service fees are non-refundable.

Withdrawals after registration closes on September 29, 2026 will not be refunded.

Health & Safety

The safety of all players, spectators, staff, and volunteers is a priority at The 400 Open. By participating in the tournament, all players acknowledge the physical demands and inherent risks associated with competitive pickleball.

Players are responsible for determining whether they are physically fit to compete and should not participate if they are injured, ill, or experiencing symptoms that could place themselves or others at risk.

Proper athletic footwear is strongly recommended at all times on court.

Players are encouraged to stay hydrated throughout the tournament and take appropriate precautions to prevent overheating, cramping, dehydration, and fatigue.

Any injury should be reported to tournament staff as soon as possible. Tournament staff may pause or stop play if a player appears unable to safely continue.

In the event of a serious injury or medical emergency, play in the affected area may be suspended while appropriate emergency assistance is contacted.

Players should never attempt to play through a serious injury or medical emergency.

Courts, walkways, and player areas must remain clear of bags, bottles, paddles, and other personal items that could create a tripping hazard.

Players and spectators are expected to follow all posted rules and safety policies of The Picklr Cumming.

Anyone exhibiting aggressive, reckless, or unsafe behavior may be removed from play at the discretion of tournament staff.

Participants who are experiencing a contagious illness, fever, vomiting, or other significant symptoms are asked not to attend the event.

Participation in The 400 Open is voluntary. Players assume responsibility for the normal risks associated with athletic competition and are expected to use good judgment regarding their own health and safety throughout the event.

Tournament staff reserve the right to remove any participant from competition when necessary to protect the safety of that player or others.
