Tournament Description

LFG Tourneys welcome you to The Bert & Erne Clash at Pickleball Charlotte-Sharon Lakesl!! We can't wait to host this tourney in the great city of Charlotte, North Carolina. This tournament will be held on Friday October 9, Saturday October 10, and Sunday October 11, 2026. This venue boasts 16 indoor pickleball courts with premium playing surface. You will have the opportunity to play Singles, Split Age Doubles, Gender Doubles, and Mixed Doubles with skill levels ranging from 2.5-4.5 as well as 4.5+ with prize money for the 4.5+/Open and Senior Open divisions. There will be great raffles and prizes!! Join us for a fun and competitive tournament!!

* Friday October 9th will be SINGLES AND SPLIT AGE DOUBLES events.

* Saturday October 10th will be all AMATEUR levels MEN'S DOUBLES and WOMEN'S DOUBLES, as well as 4.5+ OPEN/PRO Gender Doubles and SENIOR OPEN/PRO (50+ yrs old) Gender Doubles.

* Sunday October 11th will be all AMATEUR levels MIXED DOUBLES, as well as 4.5+ OPEN/PRO Mixed $$ and SENIOR OPEN/PRO Mixed Doubles $$ (50+ yrs old).

All Doubles Skill & Age brackets will be Round Robin with the top couple teams in each pool moving into a Double Elimination bracket into Medal matches. Round Robin matches will be 1 game to 15, win by 2 or 1 game to 11, win by 2 depending on the size of the bracket and/or pools. Gold Medal matches will be best 2/3 games to 11, win by 2. Bronze Medal matches will be 1 game to 15, win by 2. No come-around.

4.5+ Open Division brackets will be Double Elimination. Double Elimination bracket matches will be best 2/3 games to 11, win by 2 in the Winners' Bracket and 1 game to 15 win by 2 in the Consolation Bracket. Teams/players in the Consolation Bracket will have a chance to come around into the medal rounds. Gold Medal matches will be best 2/3 games to 11 win by 2 with a Tiebreaker match, if necessary, being 1 game to 15 win by 2. Bronze Medal matches will be 1 game to 15 win by 2.

Singles events will be best 2/3 games to 11 win by 2 in the Winners Brackets, and 1 game to 15 win by 2 in the Consolation Bracket. Players have the chance to come around in the medal rounds.

Doubles- 10+, 35+, 50+, 60+

Singles 10+, 35+, 50+, 60+

Skill Divisions:

3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 & 4.5+/Open

Franklin x-40 outdoor balls used (2.5-4.5 divisions)

LT balls used (4.5+/Open and Senior Open)

Tourney shirts INCLUDED with registration by September 10, 2026 at 11:55pm.

Amateur Event Fee - $20.00 each Open Event Fee - $60.00 each

**Tournament Directors have the right to make changes to format, adjust age brackets, or other items if needed.

* Match results will automatically load to DUPR.

Additional Information

Our event is indoor and not subject to weather conditions. If you are registered and paid, we anticipate your attendance.

LFG Tourneys reserves the right to make necessary tournament adjustments in order to maintain event flow, player safety, and competitive integrity. As such, the Tournament Directors may: Modify tournament format, shorten match length, reduce the number of games, merge or condense brackets, adjust match schedules or start times, cancel specific divisions if necessary, and audit dupr profiles and adjust placements for fair play. If the tournament is modified or shortened, no refunds will be issued. Every effort will always be made to complete as much tournament play as safely possible.

If player does not have DUPR rating, self-rating from Player Prolife will be used. Players are responsible to self-rate at a skill level that is NOT lower than their DUPR or UTPR rating. Players may play in a skill level higher than their rating. Players may not play in a skill level that is lower than their rating.

Start times will not be announced until registration closes. We do this because the number of signups for each event will determine when we can start each bracket. We need to know the final number of entrants for each event in order to determine the most efficient start times to keep the day running as smoothly as possible. Start times will be released one to two days after registration closes and may be subject to change due to any unforeseen circumstances.

Water and free snacks will be available to players.

NOTE - We ask that you start a DUPR account if you do not already have one. We also ask that all players join the LFG Tourneys "club" in your Dupr account. This is not required, but appreciated :)

You must show a photo ID with your birthdate to check-in. Please check-in a minimum of 30 minutes prior to your event start time each day that you play. If the tournament is running early, your event can start up to 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.

GENERAL RULES

* 2026 USA Pickleball Rules will apply.

* No banned paddles.

* Team Age bracket will be determined by the age of the youngest partner. Age as of 12/31/2026.

* Team Skill level will be determined by the highest skill level of the player on the team.

Refund Policy

*The final day to request a refund is Sept 21, 2026.

* All refund requests but be submitted in writing (email or official message).

*Requests received on or before Sept 21, 2026 will be eligible for a refund, minus stripe credit card processing fees: $5-$10 and registration platform fees: $10-$20 (These fees are charged by third-party platforms and cannot be recovered once the transaction is processed).

After Sept 21, 2026, no refunds will be issued for any reason. This includes, but is not limited to: Injury, Illness, Scheduling Conflicts, Weather Concerns, and Travel Delays or Cancellations. This policy ensures stable brackets and fair scheduling for all players.

*In situations of player swap, the new partner will need to pay the registration and event fee prior to issuing a refund to the withdrawing partner. A refund to the withdrawn partner will be issued (minus the third party fees] depending on how many events you are withdrawing from).

In the rare circumstance that the entire tournament must be cancelled by LFG Tourneys due to facility closure, emergency, or uncontrollable circumstances, players will receive a partial refund, minus non-recoverable event costs already incurred. This policy applies only if the entire event is cancelled. It does not apply to: Event Delays, Format Changes, Schedule Adjustments, or Shortened Play due to weather or other conditions.

No-Show Policy - Players who fail to appear for their scheduled bracket or do not check in on time will be recorded as a forfeit. No-shows will: Forfeit all matches and Receive no refund.

By registering for the tournament, all players acknowledge and agree to the identified policies.

Prize Money

OPEN AND SENIOR OPEN EVENT PAYOUT - Guaranteed $1000 payout for 1st place with minimum of 10 teams! 2nd and 3rd place payouts TBD. With less than 10 teams, payout will be determined.
