How the QUARTERFINALISTS are determined:
Pool Rankings come first. Teams are ranked based on:
Wins → Head-to-Head → Point Differential → Points Won.
Head-to-Head applies only if 2 teams are tied
Point Differential (PD) = points scored − points conceded
Points Won = total points scored
Advancing to Quarterfinals:
the top 2 teams automatically qualify from each pool.
Across all pools, the 2 best 3rd-place teams also qualify
How 3rd-place teams are compared:
If pools are equal size:
Wins → Point Differential → Points Won → Coin Toss
If pools are unequal size:
Points Percentage → Coin Toss
Points % = Points Won ÷ (Points Won + Points Conceded)
Quarterfinal Seeding:
Teams are seeded in three groups:
Seeds 1–3 = pool winners
Seeds 4–6 = second-place teams
Seeds 7–8 = top two third-place teams
Teams are ranked within their group using the same comparison method above.
Quarterfinal Matchups:
1 vs 8
2 vs 7
3 vs 6
4 vs 5
