Registration Rates – Early Bird $75 for first event, $55 for second, $35 for third (email director for a discount code for a 3rd event)
Schedule – formatting will typically have Doubles (8am+) on Saturday, Mixed Doubles (8am+) on Sunday, Singles in the afternoon on either day
Format – there is a 6 game guarantee in place; single game round-robin matches played to 11, win by 2, for doubles followed by brackets; singles matches will include rally scoring to 21, win by 2.
Divisions - to simplify registration, all registrations will be sorted by skill level during the registration process before being sorted by age when and where possible.
Additional Information
Qualifying Divisions of Play – players may self assess their skill level if they have 24 or fewer matches of play submitted to DUPR. We will utilize the DUPR player ratings to set divisions at the following levels of play once a player has 25 or more matches WITH at least a 60% reliability. If a player has 25+ games posted but fails to reach the 60% reliability mark, we will apply 85% of the posted DUPR rating as a baseline qualification level for play (example: DUPR is 4.245 with 38 games posted but a reliability factor of just 25%…85% of 4.245 would set the baseline DUPR standard of 3.6 for this player and they would not be permitted to play below the 3.5 skill level):
3.0 (2.75-3.24), 3.5 (3.25-3.74), 4.0 (3.75-4.24), 4.5 (4.25-4.74), 5.0 (4.75-5.24). Teams will compete at the highest level of the best rated player on the team.
Refund Policy
All registrations are considered final once payment is processed. There are no refunds once registration has been submitted and registrations are not transferable. A full credit will be made available to participants withdrawing 2+ weeks prior to the originally posted start date for the selected event.
Outdoor events impacted by weather will not have indoor backup plans. A 50% credit will be made available to participants impacted by weather who played no matches. Once matches begin, no credit values will be available. Events that have a change in date prior to the posted start date will have a full credit available to all participants, no refunds.
A refund is an amount processed back to the individual customers credit card. A credit is held with APA for future use towards an event of your choosing with no expiration date.
Players submitting registration without a partner will receive a CREDIT towards a future event should a partner not be located prior to the start of the event. There will be NO REFUND if APA cannot locate a partner.
Players submitting registration after the registration deadline, Tuesday at 6pm on the week leading up to the event, will receive a CREDIT towards a future event if APA cannot add the player to the schedule. There will be NO REFUND if APA cannot make the late registration addition to the tournament.
Players changing partners within 2 weeks of the event start date will need to have the new player complete registration, and payment, in order for the new player to participate. The player being removed will have a credit available towards a future event with APA, less a $15 administrative processing fee. If APA has to locate a partner to fill a void, there will be no credit value available to the player withdrawing within 2 weeks of the event start date.
