Get ready for our first annual Lucky Shots Summer Classic—an open invitation to all pickleball players, whether you're chasing medals, memories, or the prize money. Over $2,000 Prize Pool for the Open Level Division!

This two-day tournament will feature a mix of Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles across various skill levels. Hosted entirely at Lucky Shots Pickleball Club, the Summer Classic promises competitive fun, high energy, and a chance to etch your name into Lucky Shots history as part of our inaugural champion class.

🏓 Event Details

Dates: Saturday, July 12 & Sunday, July 13, 2025

Start Times: Divisions may begin as early as 7:00 a.m. and as late as 4:00 p.m. Final start times will be announced the week of the tournament.

Format:

Pool play format with a guaranteed minimum of 4–5 games per team (based on pool size)

Top teams from each pool will advance to a same-day single elimination bracket

Divisions: Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles

Skill Levels: Multiple DUPR-based skill brackets to ensure fair and fun competition for all

💰 Prizes:

Open Level Divisions (Men’s, Women’s, Mixed): $700 prize pool per division

All Other Divisions: 1st place winners receive 1 Free Open Play Punch per player

Medals awarded to top 3 teams in each division

Note: Open Level divisions WILL NOT have scores recorded into DUPR to allow high-level players to compete without affecting their rating.

Round Robin: Games to 11, win by 2

Bracket Play: Games to 15, win by 2

DUPR Guidelines:

A DUPR rating is required for entry into any division (excluding Open Level). No exceptions.

All non-Open Level scores will be recorded into DUPR.

Open Level divisions will NOT be recorded into DUPR.

Both partners’ DUPR ratings will determine the team bracket using a weighted average:

(Player A x 0.7) + (Player B x 0.3)

Example: Player A is 4.1, Player B is 3.6 → Team rating = 3.95 → eligible for 3.5–4.0 division

Unrated players may participate pending Tournament Director approval, but must still create a DUPR account for score entry.

Equipment Requirements:

Players must use paddles approved by UPA or USA Pickleball.

Banned paddles starting July 1st, 2025 (not allowed): Joola MOD, Gearbox Power Pro, ProKennex Black Ace

Prizes:

1st Place: Prize money (Open) or Open Play Punch (All Other Divisions) + Medal

2nd & 3rd Place: Medals

Registration & Timing:

After registering, teams have 7 days to register a partner or will be moved to the waitlist

Estimated start times are subject to change based on division size

Final schedules will be shared 1 week prior to the tournament

Divisions may start anytime between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Other Notes:

Tournament Director may adjust scoring format to maintain schedule integrity—any changes will be applied consistently and communicated in advance.

Withdrawals before registration closes on July 9th, 2025, are eligible for a full refund.

The $5 PickleballBrackets registration fee is non-refundable.

No refunds will be issued for withdrawals after registration closes on July 9th, 2025.
