Get ready for one of the most exciting pickleball events of the year - The Mile High Open, presented by the Porter Billups Leadership Academy and Point Blank Athletics. Hosted by Ben Aybar, an aspiring pickleball touring pro, experienced coach, and tournament director, this event is set to deliver top-tier competition and electric energy.

The tournament features a single bracket of 64 elite teams all competing for a grand cash prize of $3,000. Taking place in Arvada Colorado, this will be one of the biggest and most competitive pickleball tournaments ever held at altitude.

Registration (event included) is $250 per player and will be open from May 1st 2025 to September 1st 2025. With a limited 128 spots available (MAX 64 Teams), make sure to sign up before all spots get filled!

Beyond the action on the court, The Mile High Open is a fundraiser where ALL Net Proceeds will be going directly to PBLA to support their mission to empower underserved youth through leadership and education. With support from Point Blank Athletics, attendees can also enjoy vendors, music, and a lively, community-driven atmosphere. FORMAT

Everyone will play Single Elimination with No Come-Around.

Match Format:

Main Draw (Round of 64, 32, 16, 8) : 2/3 games to 11, win by 2

Bronze Medal Match: 2/3 games to 11, win by 2

Gold Medal Match: 2/3 games to 11, win by 2

This event has the right to shorten match formats if weather poses scheduling delays.

Please note that if your partner does not register within 3 days of when you register, you will automatically be moved to the waitlist. Your spot in the main draw will NOT be saved. If (after you are both registered and paid for the event) there is room in the main event, you will be moved back to the main event. If the event has filled up in the meantime, you will remain on the waitlist until a spot opens up.

PAYMENT/PARTNER POLICY

Players must be paid and have a registered and paid partner to be confirmed. Players not paid and without registered and paid partners will be moved to a wait list if the division in which a spot is being held is filled with fully registered and paid teams.

PARTNER REPLACEMENT POLICY

After registration is closed, any registered player losing a partner must replace that partner with an already registered player. Replacements need to be known and communicated to the registration contact by 6pm the day before the event. Replacements can be found on the players needing partners list.

Rules:

- This is a COED OPEN bracket - both male and female players will be accepted!

- Play will consist of both gender and mixed doubles in one bracket.

- Partner required at time of registration.

- Partner has 3 days to register or the team will be moved to the wait list.

CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

September 1, 2025 - CANCELLATION DEADLINE (for refunds minus a $25 Withdrawal Fee + $5 Service Fee)

No refunds for any reason after the CANCELLATION DEADLINE ABOVE.

Refunds will only be issued to ALL participants if tournament is cancelled.

WEATHER

This event is an outdoor event. If weather or any other unforeseen circumstance occurs, the Tournament Director will do all they can to play matches. If brackets are in mid play when a weather or unforeseen circumstance occurs the situation will be evaluated on a case by case basis to determine if the bracket may be finished or if winners may be determined.
