Thank you for supporting the 2nd annual Mini Brine Battle!
The Mini Brine Battle 2026 is hosted by Court Crushers and will take place on August 8-9, 2026 at Art Morris Sport Park in Sooke, BC. This two-day outdoor mini-tournament celebrates National Pickleball Day with a fun, energetic, community-focused competition. Please note, this tournament will NOT be DUPR rated!
Registration opens on June 20, 2026 at 8:00 AM PDT through Pickleball.com. Registration closes on July 25, 2026 at 8:00 PM PDT. Entry fees are $40.00 per player per event. Due to the limited space, players will be able to participate in one gendered event and one mixed event. Payment is processed through Stripe.
The event begins at 8:30 AM on both days. Each category will run a round robin followed by double-elimination playoff, ensuring every team gets plenty of play before the bracket begins. Players may register as a team or as "need a partner". Solo players will be automatically matched with a partner based on availability and skill level.
The schedule is as follows:
Saturday, August 8, 2026 - 8:30 AM start
Men's and Women's Doubles
Sunday, August 9, 2026 - 8:30 AM start
Mixed Doubles
The tournament will use your DUPR rating first and your self-rating second. Scores will NOT be recorded in DUPR. Capacity is limited, and category start times will be staggered throughout each day. Players should arrive 30 minutes prior to their category start time for warm-up and check-in.
Skill Levels:
3.49 and under
3.5 = 3.5-3.99
4.0 and above
To ensure fun competition, players may play up in skill level (0.5 difference ONLY). Players cannot play down a level. For example, a 3.5-rated player can play in the 4.0 division, but a 3.49-rated player would not be able to play in the 4.0 division.
Registration is through Pickleball Tournaments, and both partners must have accounts. Once one partner registers, the second partner must complete their registration within 4 days. If both partners have not registered and paid within that window, the team will be moved to the waitlist.
Spectators are welcome but must not interfere with gameplay. This is a fun non-DUPR rated tournament.
