Welcome to the 2026 PEAK THAW & CALCUTTA in beautiful Missoula, Montana! We are excited to host this doubles tournament in our amazing indoor Pickleball facility. Medals and prizes for all divisions. Calcutta is cash in, cash out.
Tournament format: The tournament will be held April 24 - 26.
Men's and Women's Doubles 3.0-4.0 is Friday, Men's and Women's Doubles 4.0-4.5+ is Saturday and all Mixed Doubles is Sunday. All divisions are a round robin format for position followed by a double elimination bracket. Guaranteed 5 matches per event entered.
NEW THIS YEAR: Each day between our morning and evening session we will hold a One-Point Slam. You are allowed to play in this event each day you are playing in the tournament. As an example, if Jim is playing men's doubles on Friday, he is allowed to sign up for the Friday One-Point-Slam. The approximate time for the One-Point Slam is 12:30-1:30pm. This SKINNY SINGLES mini-tournament will be a bracket style with players advancing if they win a single point. Coin flip for serve and you must win the point on your serve. The winner each day takes $200 cash. Contact Michael if you'd like to sign up: michael@peakmissoula.com.
The Calcutta takes place on Sunday, April 26th immediately following the finals of the Mixed Doubles divisions, at or around 3pm.
RULES of the Calcutta: This is an intergenerational Calcutta. Teams will be drawn from 2 categories- and eldest category, and a youngest category. The drawing will create 10 teams. Team members will be at least 25 years apart. At 3pm on the 26th, we will hold a live auction where each team is "bought". All tournament players, members of the PEAK, and guests are encouraged to come to the viewing party and auction to bid on and buy your favorite team. Calcutta play begins at around 3:15pm.
Further RULES of the Calcutta: After the auction, the owner of each team must give the players of that team the option to buy half. Example: Team 1 is bought for $200. The owner must offer the players of Team 1 the ability to buy half of their team for $100.
Calcutta money payout: 60% of pool to the owner(s) of the winning team, 20% of pool to the owner(s) of the second place team, 10% to the owner(s) of the 3rd place team and 10% to our Tournament beneficiary Five Valleys Land Trust. Example: If each team is bought for $200, this creates a pool of $2000. 1st place owner(s) receive $1200, 2nd place owner(s) receive $400, 3rd place owner(s) receive $200.
If you are signing up for the tournament and would like to play in the Calcutta, please send a message to michael@peakmissoula.com.
Brackets below 4.5 will be DUPR recorded. Please make sure you have a DUPR account. It's free to setup. Once you have a DUPR, please connect your DUPR with your PickleballTournaments account. This can be found under "My Profile" on pickleballtournaments.com. Brackets above 4.5+ will not be DUPR linked. We do this to encourage higher level players to play and their DUPR will not be impacted by playing with lower level players. We want all players to share the court.
We look forward to seeing you all at the PEAK for this awesome tournament!
