Tournament Description
LFG Tourneys and The PutAway welcome you to THE POACH & PUTAWAY OPEN! This tournament will be held at The PutAway in Millersville, Maryland on October 18-19, 2025, which features 7 regulation Pickleball courts. You will have the opportunity to play Gender Doubles and Mixed Doubles with skill levels ranging from 3.0-4.5+ with prize money for the 4.5+/Open and Senior Open divisions. There will be great raffles and prizes!! Join us for a fun and competitive tournament!!
* Saturday, October 18th will be all AMATEUR levels MEN'S DOUBLES and WOMEN'S DOUBLES, as well as OPEN/PRO Gender Doubles and SENIOR OPEN/PRO (50+ yrs old) Gender Doubles.
* Sunday, October 19th will be all AMATEUR levels MIXED DOUBLES, as well as OPEN/PRO Mixed $$ and SENIOR OPEN/PRO Mixed Doubles $$ (50+ yrs old).
**For 4.5+ OPEN $$ events - GOLD will pay out $1000, SILVER $500, and BRONZE $300 (minimum 8 teams in each event).**
** For 4.5+ SENIOR OPEN $$ events - Event fees will be used for payouts, with 60% for gold, 30% for silver, and 10% for bronze.
The format for AMATEUR events will be round robin games to 15, win by 2, with top teams from each pool advancing to playoffs. Each team will be Guaranteed 3 games. Pools and the number of teams in each pool will be determined based on how many teams are in the given event.
The 4.5+ OPEN/PRO events will be Double Elimination, best two out of three, games to 11, win by 2 in the Winners brackets and one game to 15, win by 2 in the Consolation bracket.
Franklin x-40 outdoor balls used.
Tourney shirts INCLUDED with registration by September 18, 2025.

**Tournament Directors have the right to make changes to format, adjust age brackets, or other items if needed.
* The Tournament Directors will submit results to DUPR.
Additional Information
Our event is indoor and not subject to weather conditions. If you are registered and paid, we anticipate your attendance. In the event that a bracket does not have sufficient teams, the Tournament Director reserves the right to combine brackets by level and/or age. Brackets may be combined if not enough teams are signed up in a given event. Age groups within the same skill level would be combined first. If necessary, Skill levels may be combined.
If player does not have DUPR rating, self-rating from Player Prolife will be used. Players are responsible to self-rate at a skill level that is NOT lower than their DUPR or UTPR rating. Players may play in a skill level higher than their rating. Players may not play in a skill level that is lower than their rating.
Start times will not be announced until registration closes. We do this because the number of signups for each event will determine when we can start each bracket. We need to know the final number of entrants for each event in order to determine the most efficient start times to keep the day running as smoothly as possible. Start times will be released one to two days after registration closes and may be subject to change due to any unforeseen circumstances.
Water and snacks will be available to players.
NOTE - We ask that you start a DUPR account if you do not already have one. We also ask that all players join the LFG Tourneys "club" in your Dupr account. This is not required, but appreciated :)
You must show a photo ID with your birthdate to check-in. Please check-in a minimum of 30 minutes prior to your event start time each day that you play. If the tournament is running early, your event can start up to 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.
GENERAL RULES
* 2025 USA Pickleball Rules will apply.
* No banned paddles.
* Team Age bracket will be determined by the age of the youngest partner. Age as of 12/31/2025.
* Team Skill level will be determined by the highest skill level of the player on the team.
Refund Policy
*Full Refunds will be allowed until September 18, 2025 (one month prior), minus the pickleball brackets service fee. Pickleball Brackets charges a $5 service fee for one event, and $10 service fee for two or more events off the top during checkout.
** 50% refunds up until a week before the tournament starts (October 11, 2025).
*** No refunds after October 11, 2025.
*In situations of player swap, the new partner will need to pay the registration and event fee prior to issuing a refund to the withdrawing partner. A refund to the withdrawn partner will be issued (minus a $30 to $35 fee [$25 fee plus $5 or $10 Pickleball Bracket event fee] depending on how many events you are withdrawing from).
* Note - PickleballBrackets.com charges a separate administration fee at checkout that is non-refundable at any time if you are placed into an event.
Prize Money
**For 4.5+ OPEN $$ events - GOLD will pay out $1000, SILVER $500, and BRONZE $300 (minimum 8 teams in each event).**
** For 4.5+ OPEN $$ events with less than 8 teams, GOLD payout $500, SILVER $300, and BRONZE $200.
** For 4.5+ SENIOR OPEN $$ events - Event fees will be used for payouts, with 60% for gold, 30% for silver, and 10% for bronze.
