The Venue has a commercial kitchen / canteen and will be providing a good range of food and refreshment options for players and supporters.
All events will play Round Robin format progressing through to single elimination pre-medal & medal matches. All players will be guaranteed a minimum of 3 games per event.
ALL MATCHES WILL USE RALLY SCORING
Round Robin matches will be
First to 15, win by 1 on serve
Pre- Medal First to 15, win by 1 on serve
Medal matches will be best of 3 games, first two games to 15, win by 1 on serve, 3rd game if required will be to 11 win by 2 on serve
Franklin Indoor FS Pro Yellow Balls will be used and clothing should not be similar in colour.
Players entering without nominating their partner do so at their own risk and take their own responsibility for finding a suitable partner. The organisers are not responsible for or guarantee the finding of a partner under any circumstances.
WAITLIST
Doubles players will automatically be allocated in the main draw, UNLESS the event is at capacity. If you enter before the event is at capacity, you have 5 days to secure a partner and have your partner to enter the tournament. After 5 days if your partner fails to enter or you do not secure a partner, you will be moved to the waitlist.
Teams who have both players entered in the event, will be prioritised over a player who fails to secure a partner and these teams will be moved to the main draw first.
DIRECTOR'S DISCRETION
The tournament director reserves the right to:
- review, and possibly alter the rating of players who self-rate below or above their actual rating.
- move players and teams between skill level brackets if on verification the wrong event has been entered.
- Skill and age divisions will be collapsed at the discretion of the tournament committee.
- Any event with fewer than 3 entries will be combined with another event of closest possible standard.
- change start times to facilitate smooth running of the tournament
- The Tournament Director reserves the right to modify the events and/or schedule as needed
FILMING OF MATCHES
The filming of matches by players or spectators is not permitted unless all players in the respective match have granted their consent.
The commercial use of photographs and video footage taken from the event is not permitted unless the device operator is accredited by Sutherland Shire Pickleball Club.
All players and spectators by attending the event give permission to the Sutherland Shire Pickleball club to use footage taken for current and future event promotional material.
