Welcome to "The Triple Crown Open" Pickleball Championship! Proud Partner HISPORTS Pickleball.
We are so excited to welcome you to the Town of Aurora, where we will be hosting this event outdoors with 12 pickleball courts being set up at Fleury Park. This will be our 1st sanctioned tournament held outdoors. We want this to be the pickleball party of the year! Will you be able to TRIPLE CROWN this tournament?!
This will be a skill/age tournament with 19+, 50+, and 60+ age categories played at 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, OPEN/PRO skill levels. You can play up to 5 events. Tournament directors reserve the rights to combine brackets & change format based on registration numbers. The registration fee will be $50, $15 Per Event/$50 Per OPEN Event. Your spot is not guaranteed in your event until both partners are registered and paid in full.
We like to introduce you guys to 5 NEW Categories/Events for this tournament. The 1st three will be a SPLIT Age Men's/Women's/Mixed. The levels offered are 4.0 & Below/4.0 & Above. In these events if you are OVER/UNDER Age of 50, you will EITHER have to play with someone Age 50 & OVER, or Age 49 & UNDER. Format TBD.
The 2 other NEW categories will be a YOUTH event targeting the younger generation in this sport. We will be offering a U12 and U15 Gender Doubles event. Please message us if you have any kids who would want to participate in a tournament type atmosphere. This will be ran separately from PickleballBrackets. Format TBD.
Tournament will be run on 4 days:
Thursday June 22 2023 - Split Age Men's/Women's Doubles
Friday June 23 2023 - Singles, Split Age Mixed doubles
Saturday June 24 2023 - Men's/Women's Doubles -
Sunday June 25 2023 - Mixed Doubles - U12/U15 Gender Doubles
This event will follow IFP rules with all medal matches refereed. We are approved by Pickleball Canada to be run as a sanctioned event.
Starting time for each day will be 8AM. Depending on how many participants we have registered, the time can change for each day.
Tournament Format:
The 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 categories will be pool round robins and the top teams in each pool will advance to a playoff round to determine medal winners. Each team will be guaranteed a minimum of 3 games. (Games played to 15, Bronze medal match played to 15, Gold medal round best 2 out of 3 to 11)
PRO/OPEN Division will be double elimination format. We will do everything we can to try to offer a guaranteed minimum of 4/5 games for the tournament. Stay tuned!
