The tournament style will be a round-robin, coed doubles across 3 brackets by skill level -- Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced.
The likely flow is as follows:
> Beginner's Clinic 8 - 8:30 am
> Beginner Bracket 8:30 - 11:00 am
> Intermediate Bracket 11:30 - 2:30 pm
> Advanced Bracket 3-5:30 pm
Final brackets and exact times will be structured after registration closes and at the tournament director's discretion in order to ensure good play and properly prepare for the tournament. Registration will close on Oct 23rd at 4pm.
Important: All participants must first have or create their own FREE Pickleballbrackets.com user account BEFORE registering for the Wicked Pickle.
Designating a Doubles Partner:
When you register for the Wicked Pickle yourself, you can identify a desired partner by entering their email address. However, please make sure you use the email address they used or will use to create their own Pickleball Brackets account. Your partner must register separately for the Wicked Pickle within 3 days of your registration. Otherwise, you will be waitlisted, and automatically be put back into the main draw when your partner registers -- as long as there is room.
Total Cost:
Each player in a doubles team must register individually and pay their individual $50 per person (= $45 entrance fee + $5 service fee). The total for a team is, thus $100, but billed individually at $50 each.
Complimentary Beginner's Clinic (for registered players only):
For those new to Pickleball or just learning the game, plan to attend a free beginner's clinic approximately 45 min prior to the start of the morning Beginner's bracket. The clinic will review Pickleball rules, what to expect when playing a tournament, and the primary shots in Pickleball.
To reserve your spot in the clinic or if you need a paddle, please email joegammal98@gmail.com or janetbceddia@gmail.com
Rain Date: Sunday, Oct 29, 2023
The tournament balls used will be Dura Soft 40.
