Welcome to the USA Pickleball Mid-Atlantic Diamond Regional presented by Pohanka Automotive Group. The tournament will be held at The Courts at Harmon Field in Wicomico, MD. The Diamond Regional will have 19 courts, 12 of them outdoor dedicated pickleball courts, 4 outdoor temporary courts and 3 indoor temporary courts. All sixteen outdoor courts will have lights. All courts are in the same complex.
The USA Pickleball Mid-Atlantic Diamond Regional presented by Pohanka Automotive Group at the Courts at Harmon Field qualifies
1) All participants for the 2024 USA Pickleball National Championships (Dallas, TX) in the lottery.
2) Gold and Silver medalists earn a Diamond Passport for pre-registration into the 2023 Diamond Amateur Championship in Pictona in Holly Hill, FL December 3-10.
3) All participants for the 2023 Diamond Amateur Championships in Pictona Lottery.
This is a USA Pickleball Sanctioned MMP event. As an MMP sanctioned tournament, all results will be sent to USA Pickleball to be calculated into your UTPR Rating. As an MMP sanctioned tournament all medal matches plus 1 will have a referee. You must have a current USA Pickleball membership to participate in the tournament. Additional Information
You may register for one event per day, if applicable.
Format: Double elimination. The Tournament Director reserves the right to adjust brackets and format as needed.
Medals and Diamond Passports will be awarded to gold and silver medalists in each original, uncombined bracket.
There is a $85 registration fee plus $15 referee fee and $25 for each event your register. Pickleballbrackets.com charges $5 for the first event and $10 for 2 or more events.
YOUR REGISTRATION IS NOT COMPLETE UNTIL YOU HAVE FULLY PAID, WAIVER SIGNED AND YOUR PARTNER HAS REGISTERED AND PAID. IF YOU ARE NOT FULLY PAID WHEN THE EVENT FILLS, YOU WILL BE MOVED TO THE WAITLIST. Your partner has seven (7) days to register and pay or you will automatically be moved to the waitlist.
We highly recommend signing up for the waitlist if registration for your group is full. We will move teams off the waitlist into events if space becomes available.
Start times will be posted approximately one week prior to the tournament start date.
Driver's license will be required for registration and check-in.

The Courts at Harmon Field opened in May 2023. The facility houses 12 dedicated pickleball courts, with two of them being championship courts.

Facilities
Portable toilets will be available. Additional bathrooms will be available in the Richard A. Henson Family YMCA.
Coolers will be filled with water and available to fill water bottles.
Tents can only be put on the grass area beyond the pickleball courts. No tents or chairs in the parking lots.
Lawn chairs should only be placed on grass.

August 1 is the final date to withdraw and receive a refund (less $25 processing fee)
No refund request will be accepted after August 1, 2023.
All refunds will be processed after September 10, 2023 (completion of tournament).

Player Orientation will begin promptly at 7:40 AM on Sunday with matches to start immediately after. If weather delays, please turn in your scoresheet with the current score to Tournament Operations and check you texts regularly. Play will resume 15 minutes after matches are announced they are resuming.
This is an outdoor tournament with no back up for indoor play. There will be no refunds or credits if the
tournament is impacted by weather. We will make every effort to adjust the schedule and format if necessary.

No campers, tents or cars overnight in the park.
No pets.
No alcohol.
No smoking or vaping other than parking lots.
No parking on grass unless given permission to do so.
Police will ticket your vehicle if it is not parked correctly.
