Southern River Doubles Classic – 6th & 13th September 2026
This will be played at Mike Barnett Sports Complex, Dixon Road &, Louise St, Rockingham.
This is a Pickleball Australia sanctioned tournament, where players can gain Australian Ranking (AR) points.
This tournament will use the current Global Pickleball Federation rules. They can be found at: https://globalpickleballfederation.org/pickleball-rulebook/
This tournament will also adhere to the PA Participant Code of Behaviour Policy. This can be found at: https://www.pickleballaus.org/tournaments
Approved Paddles must be used. To check your paddle refer to https://www.pickleballaus.org/official-statement-upaa-paddles.
EVENT SCHEDULE
Sunday 6th September – Mixed Doubles
19+, 35+, 50+, 60+, 70+ Age Groups
Sunday 13th September – Gender Doubles
19+, 35+, 50+, 60+, 70+ Age Groups
NOTE: Juniors 12 & older are invited to play in the 19+ events. If enough register we will consider keeping them in the one event.
The Tournament Team will make every effort to stay with the above schedule, but may have to move an event if needed.
You can play in one event each day.
Players are guaranteed minimum three games per event.
Medals will be awarded to gold, silver and bronze winning competitors in each bracket.
REGISTRATION
Registrations Open: 8:00am 30th June 2026
Registrations Close: 8:00pm 23rd August 2026 or earlier if capacity is reached.
Registration Cost: $50 which includes entry into one event. Each additional event is $20.00 per event. Players may enter a maximum of 2 events.
West Aust participants must be a financial member of the Pickleball Association of WA (PAWA).
Interstate and Overseas participants are welcome but must be financial members of Pickleball Australia (PA).
Participants must have a Pickleball Tournaments account that is linked to a current PA membership and DUPR account.
Players may enter a doubles event without a partner but It is the responsibility of the participant to source a partner and have them enter to secure a position. Alternatively, if you don’t have a partner by registration close date the Tournament Director will do their best to match you with another player requiring a partner, considering age and skill rating.
PLAYER ELIGIBITY
Players may enter age events based on their age as at Dec 31 2026. Doubles skill based events will be based on a players appropriate doubles DUPR rating at the close of registration.
TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR DISCRETION
The tournament director reserves the right to:
- Review, and possibly alter the rating of players who self-rate below or above their actual rating.
- Move players and teams between skill level brackets if on verification the wrong event has been entered.
- Merge Events with 3 or less entries with another event of closest possible standard.
- Change start times to facilitate smooth running of the tournament.
