Tournament Description
We welcome you to our friendly and sociable club. Come and experience Warrnambool City Pickleball Club's first annual tournament that's all inclusive and is going to showcase what Warrnambool has to offer to all our players. The Warrnambool Stadium (also know as the ARC) has three internal stadiums which will allow us to offer 22 Pickleball courts. We are proud to offer a venue with tiered seating in two of the stadiums and surround seating in the third.
Our open tournament is offered to all skill levels and ages including a bracket for Para Pickleball. Each entrant can choose to enter up to four events as long as the events you choose are at a different time to each other. Whether you are a first-time participant or a seasoned player, this tournament offers a fantastic opportunity for competitive play in a friendly electric atmosphere. Compete in a range of divisions that fit your skill level and enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded players.
We will be offering eight events in five age groups , Junior Open in Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles Para Pickleball, Mens and Womens Doubles, including Mixed Doubles & Singles. The age groups are 18 under, 19+, 35+, 50+, 60+ and70+. We would like to get enough entries to keep each of these age group brackets but please understand that we may have to merge some age groups if needed. Please read "DIRECTOR'S DISCRETION" below.
You will meet and make many new friends at this tournament to add to your Pickleball family and it will be great to see familiar faces when you enter future tournaments.
Our own members are going to run a Canteen/Cafe for you selling yummy homemade sandwiches, fruit salad cups and slices with tea and coffee. There is a vending machine with gatorades and snacks and we are excited to have the 'Sirjuiced' Van that will sell pure fruit juice icy cold (slushies) and smoothies made with real fruit juice. Perfect for the hot weather we are expecting. Coffee van onsite too (hopefully!) There is a separate multi-purpose lounge attached to the Canteen/Cafe that you can go and relax in away from the courts. We will have sun shade, tables and seating outdoors also.
Early bird registration fee $25 up until 25th December then $35 thereafter.
We plan to have the Singles from early Saturday morning followed by the gender Doubles starting mid/late morning. On Sunday we will start with Mixed Doubles followed by Skinny Singles.
Additional Information
