Registration opens Feb. 1st at 8:00 AM PST.
As soon as event start times are available we will notify the players and post them on the tournament page.
Each player is responsible to register and pay –
If you register and your partner does not register and pay in 3 days you will be moved to the wait-list.
Early Registration until Feb. 12th $65.00
Late Registration after Feb. 12th $75.00
Final Registration after Feb. 28th $90.00
Registration closes March. 21st.
We choose to not have a 50+ for 3.0, 4.0-4.5 based on low sign ups from past tournaments.
All ages are eligible to play the 3.0, 4.0-4.5 bracket in the Washington Open
Event fees:
Amateur events - $15
Open w/prize money - $45 (8 teams minimum)
Registration will be based on your DUPR rating.
For example, if you have a 3.5 DUPR trying to register for 3.0 you will not be allowed to enter 3.0 and must register in 3.5 or above. If you do not have a DUPR the system automatically defaults to your self rating in pickleballbrackets.com. If you are not able to register for an event please check your DUPR or self rating.
If you believe your DUPR is not accurate you will need to contact DUPR.

Amateur Divisions
Guaranteed 3 matches.
Traditional Scoring
Bracket size:
4 Teams: Pool play games to 15 (win by 1). All teams advance to playoffs.
5 Teams Pool play games to 15 (win by 1). Top 4 teams advance to playoffs.
6-7 Teams: Round-robin play 1 pool (1 game to 11, win by 2). Top 4 teams advance to playoffs.
8-10 Teams: Divisions split into 2 pools. Pool play games to 15 (win by 1). Top 2 teams from each pool advance to playoffs.
11 Teams: Divisions split into 2 pools. Pool play games to 11 (win by 2). Top 2 teams from each pool advance to playoffs.
12-15 Teams: Divisions split into 3 pools. Pool play games to 15 (win by 1). Top 2 teams from each pool advance to playoffs.
16 Teams: Divisions split into 4 pools. Pool play games to 15 (win by 1). 1st place teams from each pool advance to playoffs.
Playoffs: If you advance to the playoffs your seeding is based on your results from the round robin.
Games to 15 win by 2
Medal Matches:
Gold Medal Matches: Best 2 out of 3 games to 11 (win by 2).
Bronze Medal Matches: 1 game to 15 (win by 2).
Pro/Open Divisions
Traditional Scoring:
Pool Play and Playoffs: Games to 15 (win by 2).
8 Teams: Divisions split into 2 pools. Top 2 teams from each pool advance to playoffs.
12-14 Teams: Divisions split into 3 pools. Top 2 teams from each pool advance to playoffs.
16-18 Teams: Divisions split into 4 pools. Top 2 teams from each pool advance to playoffs.
Playoffs: Games to 15 win by 2
Semi Finals: Best 2 out of 3 games to 11 (win by 2).
Medal Matches:
Gold/Bronze Medal Matches: Best 2 out of 3 games to 11 (win by 2).
TD may combine brackets or add more teams as needed to ensure quality play.
Tournament may close at any time if maximum daily numbers are met (even if some events appear to have openings)
There are no referees, all matches are self officiated. If there are line disputes that can't be agreed upon you may ask the TD for a line judge for the remainder of the match.
