Welcome to the Western Australian State Championships Tournament on April 21-23, held at the Nollamara Tennis Club.
Nollamara Tennis Club is a licensed venue and they have a kitchen so food and drinks are for sale.
This tournament will use the current USA Pickleball Official Rules 2023. They can be found at: USA Pickleball (https://usapickleball.org/what-is-pickleball/official-rules/).
This tournament is a PAA Sanctioned event.
Specific details are listed below:
REGISTRATION
- To register you will need to create a free Pickleball Brackets login and profile. Profile must contain your contact number, email & PAA ID number.
- Opens: February 18th @ 8:00 am for PAWA/PAA members only.
- Registration Closes: April 10th @ 8.00pm.
FEES
- Western Australian residents registering must be a PAWA Ordinary member, or PAWA Junior member including PAA membership.
- Registrants from other Australian states, or international must hold current PAA membership.
- Entry Fee: $35.00 per player
- Event Fee: $15.00 per event / $5.00 per event for Juniors (Your first event is included in the registration)
EVENTS
- Qualifying games will be a round robin format and finals will be elimination
- You can play in more than one event during the tournament but a max of 2 events on each day.
- Qualifying matches will be 1 game to 15.
- Medal finals matches will be best out of three games to 11.
- Players are guaranteed three games.
- Medals will be awarded to Gold, Silver and Bronze winning competitors for each bracket.
PLEASE NOTE:
- When registrations are closed, any event with insufficient numbers for a competition will need to be collapsed and combined with another event. Competitors in the collapsed event will be notified so they can decide if they still want to play.
- The tournament director reserves the right to cancel or modify the events and/or schedule as needed pending influences beyond our control (eg. Insufficient numbers in Events, Weather, etc).
