Welcome to the inaugural Winter Smash presented by Double R Pickleball LLC! A doubles tournament that is sure to keep you warm this winter! This year we will be giving out prizes like new paddles or gear bags for Open division winners and the best ugly sweater. The registration cost includes your 1st event!

Gold, Silver, Bronze Medals awarded for each event!

VENUE

The tourney will be hosted at Lost Pines Pickleball Club, which has a total of 9 indoor pickleball courts: 4 outdoor uncovered courts that are free to use for warm ups. There is also outdoor seating with fire pits. Indoor seating with drinks and food served. Demo paddles are on site if you're looking for new power or spin!

SCHEDULE OVERVIEW

Each day will begin approximately at 7am, and events will run all day until approximately 8pm. As this is an indoor tournament, we will move players on/off quickly between their games, so please be ready to play as soon as your game comes back up.

CHECK IN

Players must check in at the tournament desk at least 30 min prior to the start of the event. Players not checked in at their event start may be withdrawn from their event.

REFEREE

Players will monitor their own line calls and scoring. The tournament director and staff will be roving and available to help players as needed.

This is a DUPR event. All matches will be put into DUPR. Make sure to join our club!

All first responders, military, and educators are eligible for a discounted entry fee. Contact the tournament director for discount codes.

Tournament Directors reserve the right to combine divisions as necessary to maximize participation and event play.

Early Bird: 9/28/24 - 10/31/24 $40

Almost made it: 11/1/24 - 11/30/24 $50

Late Registration: 12/1/24 - 12/9/24 $60

This is a round robin tournament with the top teams advancing to a single elimination bracket. The size of the pods will determine the top teams. Round robin games will be Rally scoring to 15 win by 1. Bracket games will be side-out scoring to 11 win by 2. All medal matches will be best 2 out of 3, side-out scoring to 11 win by 2.

Cancellation must happen by December 6, 2024. Any cancellation after this date will not receive a refund. For extenuating circumstances contact the the tournament director and we will work with you on comping a future entry fee.

Liability waivers must be signed by all registrants for Double R Pickleball LLC and Lost Pines Pickleball Club.
