FORMAT

Round Robin followed by Single Elimination

(4-game minimum guaranteed!)

The Tournament Director reserves the right to adjust the format prior to or during the event.

We will use Round Robin followed by Single Elimination whenever possible!

We pride ourselves on running fast-paced tournaments with minimal downtime between matches. Players should expect to complete their bracket within approximately 4 hours.

VOLUNTEER:

Each volunteer time slot completed earns a 25% refund of your entry fee. Sign up for 3 time slots and receive 75% back!

All matches will be submitted to DUPR. DUPR ratings will be reviewed to help prevent sandbagging.

Both partners must register separately.

The event reserves the right to shorten match formats if weather causes scheduling delays.

Changing Partners:

Partner changes must be communicated at least 1 day prior to the event. Replacement partners must be registered in the same skill division.

Important Partner Registration Policy:

If you are playing in a doubles event and your partner does not register within 7 days of your registration, you will automatically be moved to the waitlist.

Your spot in the main event will not be reserved.

Once both partners are registered and paid, you will be moved back into the main event if space is available. If the event has filled in the meantime, you will remain on the waitlist until a spot becomes available.

FAQs

My partner is a different age or skill level than me. What division do we sign up for?

You must register based on the higher rated skill level and the age of the younger player.

Why can’t I sign up for or view certain divisions?

Check your DUPR rating and self-rating on your pickleballtournaments.com profile. If your self-rating or DUPR rating is 3.5 or higher, for example, you will not be able to view or register for divisions rated 3.499 and below.

Who receives cash prizes?

Cash prizes are awarded only in divisions with 7 or more teams/players.

7+ teams/players: Full cash prizes are awarded.

4–6 teams/players: The division will still be played, but no cash prizes will be awarded.

Fewer than 4 teams/players: The division may be combined with the closest available age and/or skill bracket. If the combined division reaches 7 or more teams/players, the applicable cash prize will be reinstated.

Do I need a membership to play in this tournament?

No! This tournament is open to everyone. No USAP, DUPR, Picklr, or World of Pickleball memberships are required to participate.

Refunds for Low Registration

If an event must be canceled due to low registration, players will receive a full refund minus applicable non-refundable fees.

If divisions can reasonably be combined into a Tournament Director-approved competitive bracket (for example, combining age groups such as 50–70), refunds will not be offered due to low registration.

Refunds Before the Cancellation Deadline

If you withdraw from the event before the Cancellation Deadline (July 7th, 2026), you will receive a refund minus a $25 processing fee.

This fee helps cover administrative costs already incurred, including venue deposits, advertising, tournament preparation, and payment processing expenses.

Refunds After the Cancellation Deadline

If you withdraw after the Cancellation Deadline, no refunds will be issued unless you purchased the Registration & Weather Insurance Policy during registration.

This insurance provides coverage for cancellations after the deadline, including situations involving weather, unforeseen circumstances, or other approved reasons.

If you selected the Registration & Weather Insurance Policy during checkout, your registration fee will be covered in the event of cancellation for eligible reasons, including low enrollment, weather, or other circumstances outlined in the policy. This allows for a full refund even if the event is canceled after the Cancellation Deadline.

Waitlist Policy

If you register and are placed on the waitlist but are not moved into the event, you will receive a full refund after the tournament concludes.

The $25 processing fee does not apply to players who remain on the waitlist and never enter the event.

Non-Refundable Fees

Please note that certain fees are non-refundable:

- A $2–$4 payment processing fee is collected by the payment processor and is not retained by World of Pickleball. This fee cannot be refunded.

- A $5 pickleball tournament software fee is non-refundable on a player's first two events, as disclosed during the registration checkout process.

These fees apply regardless of the reason for cancellation or withdrawal.
