Players International Management (PIM), organizers of the World Pickleball Series and the YellowTennisBall.com Series, is excited to host the inaugural WORLD PICKLEBALL CHALLENGE, held Friday, Dec. 15 - Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023 at Whispering Pines Park (800 SW Darwin Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL 34953)

This event features amateurs competing in a fun, competitive, ROUND ROBIN event held on over 20 brand new dedicated Pickleball Courts.

Make sure to register early as space is limited and the Registration Fee will increase after the Early Bird timeframe (each divisional event is $55).

*Mandatory Forms: CHECK-IN & FORMS:**IMPORTANT** Please check in 20 minutes before your match time as ALL PLAYERS must fill out the following forms online and show their confirmation emails upon check-in (Medical Release & Waiver Form and Event Contact Form).

*Match Play Info: Pending draw sizes, divisions might carry over to another day to finish their event

*Participant amounts per division: Pending the amount of registrations, event will do its best to accommodate as many players as possible.

*Player Gift: Each participant will receive one t-shirt per person (regardless of how many divisional events they compete in).

- We are hosting a Holiday Toy Drive, and if able, please bring a brand new toy to the Tournament Desk as all items will be donated to local hospitals – thank you!

Friday

- Women’s Doubles Skills: 19+, 50+, 60+ (3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5+)

- Men's Doubles Skills: 19+, 50+, 60+ (3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5+)

Saturday

- Mixed Doubles Skills: 19+, 50+, 60+ (3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5+)*

- MONEYBALL Doubles Event: Teams may include combination of men/men, woman/woman or men/woman*

o Entry: $100pp

o Prize $ Distribution: 60% of Entry Fee will be distributed in Prize Pool (ie 40% Champion, 20% Finalist)*

o On Saturday, players may only play in one event, Mixed Doubles Skills or Moneyball event

FORMAT

The tournament format is a Round Robin with a minimum of 3 matches for all participants.

• All matches to 15 points, win by 2

• Medals awarded based amount of matches won. In case of ties: Head-to-head, then point differential if needed

• Divisions with 8 or more teams will be broken into two or more pools with a playoff round for medals.

• While this is a non-sanctioned event, we plan to have a certified referee onsite for questions regarding rules

Withdrawals:

* Full Refund (less a processing fee of up to $25) if withdraw is completed by 11/16/23... No refunds after 11/16/23.

* Waitlisted ONLY players will not be charged a processing fee and may remain on the waitlist throughout the duration of the tournament

* There will be no refunds for events that are cancelled due to inclement weather or any other unforeseen event.

** Refunds will be issued after registration closes for those players who have a credit balance. Refunds will be processed as a credit to the original form of payment where possible. Refunds will be processed after the tournament has ended, by the 14 days following the tournament, for players who did not get off the waitlist.

Partner Replacement Policy:

Any registered player losing a partner must replace that partner with an already registered player. The replacement must be in the same skill/age group that you are scheduled to play. Keep in mind as you search for a replacement that players may play down in age and up in skill. Replacements need to be known and communicated to aprilpickleball4@gmail.com by 6 p.m. the day before you are scheduled to play. Any request for replacements coming in after 6 p.m. the day before you are scheduled to play will be reviewed by the Tournament Director for approval.
