The Yeppoon Retro Classic is a highlight event in the 10-day Yeppoon Pickleball Festival, running from July 17-26, 2026.
Tournament Format
Friday 24th July - GENDER DOUBLES - Starting at 8am
Saturday 25th July - MIXED DOUBLES - Starting at 8am
Saturday 25th July - 6pm - Catered Dinner and Fun Retro Event - Theme is 'Gilligan's Island' - Come dressed in ISLAND attire or as one of the characters - BOOK THROUGH OPEN SPORTS
Sunday 26th July - Pineapple Alley Rally Comp - CAPPED at 56 people at 10am - BOOK THROUGH OPEN SPORTS (If there is enough interest we will open up a 2nd Comp starting at 12.30pm)
Players can compete in up to three events at each tournament from Friday 24th - Sunday 26th July:

This is a PAA Sanctioned Tournament Regional Event.
Divisions Available:
🎾 50+ Doubles, Mixed Doubles
🎾 60 - 67 Doubles, Mixed Doubles
🎾 68+ Doubles, Mixed Doubles

Round Robin with Playoffs:
4 teams: Single Round Robin with Playoffs for top four teams.
5 teams: Single Round Robin with Playoffs for top four teams.
6 teams: Single Round Robin with Playoffs for top four teams.
7 teams: Single Round Robin with Playoffs for top four teams.
8 teams: 2 pools of 4. Single Round Robin with Playoffs for top two teams from each pool.
9 teams: 1 pool of 4, 1 pool of 5. Single Round Robin with Playoffs for top two teams from each pool.
10 teams: 2 pools of 5. Single Round Robin with Playoffs for top two teams from each pool.
11 teams: 1 pool of 5, 1 pool of 6. Single Round Robin with Playoffs for top two teams from each pool.
12 teams: 2 pools of 6. Single Round Robin with Playoffs for top two teams from each pool.
Pool Play: 1 game to 15, win by 2 or 1 game to 11 win by 2
Playoffs: 1 game to 15, win by 2
Bronze Medal Match: 2/3 games to 11, win by 2 (Singles and Skinny Singles 1 game to 15, win by 2)
Gold Medal Match: 2/3 games to 11, win by 2
*Events to be combined if there are less than 4 teams in Doubles or less than 4 players in Singles. Tournament organizers possess the right to combine events based on either skill or age to provide the best overall playing experience, given the circumstances.
Any tie on points will be decided using points differentials.
The top three players in each division across singles, doubles and mixed doubles will be announced and crowned at the end of the year.
The Festival Village will have coffee, food and beverages available for of the tournament. Viewing and relaxed seating and shade options will be available, but participants and spectators are more than welcome to bring their own seating.
