Emma Willard School, a historic boarding high school for girls in Troy, N.Y., is the host venue for the 3rd Annual Thanksgiving at Emma Tournament on Nov. 23-25 to celebrate women and young pickleball players.
All adult divisions are women's doubles.
The tournament director is Cathleen Crowley Denbeaux of Pickleball518.
All players receive t-shirts. Medals will be awarded. Events are round-robins with a 4-game minimum. Players can play up a skill level and older players may play in the under-50 age division.
Please sign up and join this annual tradition of celebrating women and young pickleball players. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the competition is strong. There will be a raffle, food drive and coat drive to support local charities. Make Emma a part of your holiday tradition.
Schedule
Saturday, Nov. 23
8 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Women's doubles age 50 and above
4:30 p.m.: Big Turkey & Little Turkey event
Women partner with their favorite kid (any child age 13 and younger) to compete in a fun round-robin with prizes. Three divisions: 1) beginner 2)intermediate and 3) Two littles. Sunday, Nov. 24
8 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Women's Doubles age 13 to 49
5 p.m.: High School/Collegiate Tournament Co-ed tournament - CANCELED
Monday, Nov. 25
8 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Women's Doubles Age 60 and over
Players can play up in higher skill levels and lower age divisions.
The high school/collegiate event is for experienced pickleball players. If you have questions about which division to enter, email cathleen@pickleball518.com.
Teams are considered registered when BOTH team members register and pay for the tournament through Pickleball Brackets. If there is a ghost next to a team member's name on Pickleball Brackets, your team is not registered.
Registration fees
Women's Doubles: $40 for Early Bird Registration (ends Oct. 31) and $50 for regular registration; and $20 for an additional women's doubles event and $10 for an additional OVER 60 event.
High School/College: $30 per player for the first event and $5 for an additional event.
OVER 60: There is a discount for players ONLY competing in an OVER-60 event. ($5 off early bird, $10 off regular registration) The discount is applied automatically at check out, but you are not eligible for the OVER 60 discount if you sign up for other events.
NOTE: Pickleball Brackets charges an additional, non-refundable $5 service fee for each registered event.
Drinks and light snacks will be available.
