Pickleball is fun, but it is still a sport. By registering, you acknowledge you are physically able to participate and you assume all risks of injury, including falls, collisions, heat-related illness, and other hazards associated with play.
Heat and hydration
~ Florida in April is not subtle. Hydrate before you arrive and between matches.
~ Bring water, electrolytes, sunscreen, hat/visor, and shade if you need it.
~ Take breaks when needed and alert staff immediately if you feel dizzy, weak, nauseated, or unusually fatigued.
Weather
~ If lightning is observed or thunder is heard, play will be paused and courts will clear. Restart times will be announced onsite.
~ Schedules may be adjusted due to weather or safety conditions.
On-court safety
~ Proper court shoes are strongly recommended.
~ Warm up before play and cool down after.
~ Avoid stepping onto adjacent courts during active points.
Medical support
~ Basic first aid will be available onsite. For emergencies, 911 will be called.
~ Any medical costs are the responsibility of the participant.
