FINAL INSTRUCTIONS:
It’s finally here — the 7th Annual Chico Classic Pickleball Tournament presented by Northern California National Bank!
We’re excited to welcome you to a weekend of great play, camaraderie, and philanthropy. Every rally helps support True North Housing Alliance, whose mission is to move people forward and out of homelessness with compassion, dignity, and accountability.
Here’s everything you need to know. Please review these final details so your tournament experience runs smoothly from first serve to final point.
Tournament Details:
Dates: Saturday & Sunday, November 8–9, 2025
Location: Community Park Pickleball Courts, Chico, CA
Check-in: 30 minutes before your first scheduled match
Start Times: Check your start time
Note: Park gate opens for vehicles at 6:30 AM daily
Player Check-In & Format:
Check in at the registration desk upon arrival
Court assignments and entry gates information will be issued at check-in
You must attend a brief orientation near the registration area 5 minutes before your first match
All players must sign a waiver before stepping on the court
Match times and brackets are posted and updated on pickleball.com
Each team will participate in pool play, followed by medal rounds (depending on division size)
USAP rules apply
Score Sheets & Match Procedures:
A designated player in each group will review the score format and match procedures before play begins. A basket will be provided on the court containing the official ball, Selkirk Pro S1, and pens. You may place unused score sheets in this basket,
Before your match:
Confirm team names, division, and match format on the score sheet
Start each round at the same time
Players in between rounds must off the courts to avoid congestion
After your match:
Points matter — check scores!
Both teams must sign the score sheets to confirm scores
The winning team completes the score sheet fully and returns it immediately to the scoring desk
Incomplete or unsigned cards may delay results — double-check before submitting.
Timeout & Water Breaks:
One (1) timeout per game – max 1 minute
Water breaks allowed (max 30 seconds)
No strategizing or coaching during water breaks
Keep play moving — help us stay on schedule and maintain great momentum
What to Bring:
Paddle, water bottle, towel, sunscreen, hat or visor
Chairs are welcome in designated spectator areas
Refillable water bottle. Tahoe Pure Water will be provided at the hydration station.
Snacks, ice, and drinks. No food available on-site
Safety & Wellness:
Stay hydrated and wear sunscreen.
Eye protection is strongly recommended to protect from injury
First aid is available near the tournament desk
If weather conditions change, updates will be emailed and posted at the courts.
Reminders:
All registration fees must be paid in full before play
Ensure your DUPR account is linked to your registration
Parking & Facilities:
Chico Community Park has free parking. Use designated parking only
Please do not park in residential or reserved areas
Restrooms are located adjacent to the courts
Awards and Swags:
Medals are awarded for Gold, Silver, and Bronze in each division
Collect your swag bag from the check-in desk
Early-bird players who selected a t-shirt can pick it up during check-in
Raffles:
Pre-purchased raffle tickets can be collected at the True North Housing Alliance booth.
Raffle tickets are available for purchase at the tournament
Raffle drawings will be on Sunday at 1 PM. No need to be present to win
