1st annual Dawson Creek Rotary Pickleball Tournament
Friday May 9th 2025 - Sunday May 11th 2025
The Dawson Creek Rotary Club is pleased to invite you to our 1st ever pickleball tournament, May 9-11 2025 at the Dawson Creek Curling rink (1113 106 Ave, Dawson Creek, BC V1G 2P1)
We planned the tournament categories to be set up including Men's and Ladies singles, doubles and Mixed Doubles, with age categories (depending on the number of registrations). Events will include age categories from 18-55 & 55+ with skill level competitions 3.0, 3.5, 4.0. Should both players choose to, they may play up ONLY a 0.5 rating level from their current CTPR. IF YOUR DUPR RATING MEETS THE REQUIRED LEVEL YOU MAY PLAY UP MORE THAN .5.

The registration fee is $85 which includes one event and a supper on Saturday night, additional event is $40. Registration opens January 24, 2025 at 5PM. A registration is considered complete when the team information is complete and paid in full. Both players must register within 7 days of the first player's registration, or the team will be moved to the waitlist.
Format:
All events will offer a Round Robin pool-play format. If there are not enough teams for pool play, then a single round-robin bracket will be played.
The top-four teams from each pool or Top 4 for single round-robin bracket will move forward to the next round. If there are 3 pools the top 2 from each pool will advance with the 7 & 8 spots decided by tiebreak.
All pool-play matches, as well as all pre-medal matches, will be 1 game to 15, win by 2 points. The Gold medal matches will be best two-out-of-three games, Games to 11 win by two points.
This is a non-sanctioned tournament with our goal to have referees for all Medal matches.
Skill levels are 3.0 to 4.0
