NOT’lanta Open Players!

We are less than 2 weeks away from the 3rd annual NOT’lanta Open - The Montclair Championships! Many volunteers are hard at work preparing to give you a great tournament experience. I hope you are as excited as we are!

Registration: We currently have 177 players registered. If you are on the waitlist, there is still a chance you will be moved into the bracket. You can check your registration status and open brackets here: Pickleballbrackets.com/?NLO

*Registration closes May 7.

*Last day refunds are available for withdrawals is tomorrow, Monday, May 2.

Start times: Estimated start times for each bracket will be emailed May 8, after registration closes. General time of day is provided where you registered for each bracket, but let me know if you have questions.

Check in: Players must check in at least 30 minutes before estimated start time. (Check in every day you play.)

Facility & Parking. Address is 3304 Crane Ferry Road in Montclair subdivision. Parking is available on street and in field. Please follow directions provided by traffic cones and volunteers. You may pull up on the curb but not on the sidewalk or on neighbors’ grass! Do NOT park within 15 feet of the corner, making it dangerous for residents pulling out of side streets. You may be ticketed. If you are local, please consider carpooling!

*All players check in at gate where you will pick up your koozie, armband (must be worn inside courts during the Social) and enter raffle to play “It’s a Win-Win!” game.

*Only registered tournament players allowed on court during the Social but others are encouraged to come enjoy the park, the music, the food truck, and spectating!

*Bring a chair. Coolers welcome.

*Gates open at conclusion of Men’s Singles brackets.

*Food Truck opens at 5:30.

Welcome to the 3rd annual NOT'lanta Open: The Montclair Championships in Augusta, Georgia. The inaugural event was birthed in 2020 when the Atlanta Open was cancelled due to covid. Many who had planned to attend the Atlanta Open decided to plan our own smaller event, hence the name, NOT'lanta Open. The Montclair courts offered the ideal outdoor location where we could play safely and offer sanitation and social distancing practices. Immediately following the successful event, we decided to make it an annual affair!

Montclair Pickleball is a private neighborhood venue in West Augusta. We have 6 permanent courts and 2 temporary courts (portable nets).

Registration fee is $45 plus $10 for each event.

Friday, May 13 - Women's Doubles, Men's Singles, Social

Saturday, May 14 - Mixed Doubles

Sunday, May 15 - Womens Singles, Men's Doubles

Registration expectations- A team must register at the skill level of the higher skilled player (or higher) and the age group of the younger player.

Format is Round Robin. Your team will play one match against every other team in your bracket.

Max of 7 teams per bracket.

Brackets of 5 or more teams: Each match will be one game to 15, win by 2.

Brackets of 3 or 4 teams: Each team will play every other team twice.

As registration proceeds, tournament management reserves the option to combine or adjust brackets, and adjust bracket play format as needed based on registration.

You may register and identify your partner or request "Need partner". You and your partner must register and pay within five days of your registration, or your team will be moved to the wait list. NOTE: Your spot in the tournament is not guaranteed until you and your partner have both registered, and all fees have been paid in full.

** All start times (to be posted later) are subject to change and brackets might be adjusted or combined based on event registration.

** If you (and your partner) are registered & paid by April 25th, you will receive a shirt (included in the registration fee).

** Registration deadline is May 6, 11:45PM.

** Registration and payments are online through this website only. There are no paper registrations or same day registrations at the tournament. Payment is made through the PayPal portal. You do not have to have a PayPal account and can pay as a PayPal guest, using a bank card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express).

**Bring water and chair.

** Friday night tournament social, "HOT OUTTA ATL": Open Play, Food Truck (cash or card), LIVE music featuring Back2It, Picklerama games and prizes. Coolers welcome.

Withdrawal deadline is May 2, 2021. No refunds for any reason after that date. Withdrawals prior to that date are subject to a $10 administration fee.

We will make every effort to complete events in spite of inclement weather. But if events are cancelled due to weather, there will be no refunds. Tournament Director reserves the right to change format, shorten games or make other changes that may help complete an event.
