Join us for a special UMass Lowell Homecoming event on Friday, October 16 & Saturday October 17 welcoming pickleball players ages 18 and older.
This is a non-DUPR fundraising tournament.
Proceeds will benefit the UMass Lowell STRIVE Food Pantry, Student Pickleball Club and the Campus Recreation Center.
What is STRIVE?: "As a UMass Lowell (UML) River Hawk, students strive to meet their academic goals but are often faced with challenges in meeting their basic needs whether it be food, housing, books, or other resources. We are committed to supporting our students through access to food, housing, and additional resources needed to be successful and meet academic goals at UMass Lowell."
What: UMass Lowell Pickleball Homecoming Slam Tournament
When:
------- Fri Oct 16 for 55+ mixed brackets 3-6pm, Any age 6-9pm mixed
------- Sat Oct 17 8am-5pm men's and women's based on bracket (see below)
Where: Outdoors - UMass Lowell Complex – Tennis Courts 1 and 2 (with 8 pickleball courts). Rain Plan: Indoors inside Campus Recreation courts.

Anyone 18+ who is friendly, open and ready to have fun!
Food & Beverages:
No food is permitted within the fenced complex, but right outside on the cement patio, our beloved Burmese student group will be back by popular demand, offering delicious Burmese food, bubble tea, water, and Gatorade for purchase. Friday night there will be Asian student clubs presenting various Cambodian, Filipino, South Asian, Vietnamese food and cultural performances on the Campus Rec Lawn.

This is a Doubles only Tournament. (Times are subject to change). Please do not check in prior to time listed and we appreciate your patience if there are any delays to the proposed times.
Brackets with 5 teams will be games to 15 win by 1 in round robin with 4 teams advancing to playoffs.
Brackets with 6 or more teams will be games to 11 win by 1 in round robin with 4 teams advancing to playoffs.

The Tournament Director reserves the right to merge brackets if there are not enough teams for a bracket, then skill divisions. We will do a round robin format with possibility of playoffs depending on time permitting. We reserve the right to combine or split brackets as necessary based on timing and those involved.
