Southern Pickleball welcomes you to the "2025 Amateur Pickleball State Championship Series" powered by the Carvana PPA Tour! The Series includes a state championship in all 50 states during the 2025 season with medalist qualifying for free and discounted registration to the World Championships to be held in Dallas, Texas.

Southern Pickleball is excited to host the 2025 Amateur Pickleball State Championships in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Kentucky and Virginia. You can find all the details on these exciting tournaments at both PickleballTournaments.com and SouthernPickleball.com. In addition to qualifying for the World Championships all players that earn medals in these 10 State Championships hosted by Southern Pickleball will earn berths to the 2025/26 Southern Championships. The Southern Championships will be held Dec 31, 2025, to January 4, 2026 at the Worlds Largest Indoor Pickleball Facility, Rhythm and Rally Sports and Events, in Macon, Georgia.

DIVISIONS:

MENS DOUBLES, MENS SINGLES, WOMENS DOUBLES, WOMENS SINGLES, MIXED DOUBLES

Skill Levels: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0

Age Groups: 8-34,35-49,50-59,60-69,70+

FORMAT:

4 MATCH GUARRANTEE FOR ALL TEAMS. Brackets 7 teams or less will play Round Robin followed by medal bracket or medal matches. Brackets of 8 or more teams may be split into pools with pools playing round robin with designated number of teams from pool play advancing to medal matches. Brackets of less than 5 teams may be merged to create playable brackets. TEAMS WILL BE AWARDED MEDALS BASED ON THE BRACKET THEY ORIGINALLY REGISTERED FOR BEFORE BEING MERGED.

COST: $80 REGISTRATION FEE INCLUDES 2 EVENTS. Players wishing to play a 3rd event will be charged an additional $40. PickleballTournaments.com also charges a $5 per event non-refundable service fee (not to exceed $10 per player).

The schedule is as follows:

Friday, July 18th - Men's and Women's Singles

Saturday, July 19th - Men's and Women's Doubles

Sunday, July 20th - Mixed Doubles

Competition each day will begin as early as 8:00 AM. Specific start times for each event will be posted and emailed to players approximately one week prior to the event.

The registration cost is $80 and includes 2 events each additional event is $40. Last day to register and be guaranteed a FREE tournament Shirt is July 6, 11:55pm. If space is still available, registrations after July 6th will incur a $15 late registration fee.

As registration proceeds, tournament management reserves the option to combine brackets as needed if brackets do not fill. If brackets are combined to create playable brackets, awards will be based on the original bracket a player signed up for. Tournament management also reserves the right to convert brackets to double elimination if necessary.

A team must play at the skill level of the higher rated player (or higher) and the age group of the younger player. Age is calculated as of 12/31/2025.

RATINGS

- DUPR ratings will be used.

- Tournament Director reserves the right to move a player to a higher/lower level at their discretion

You may register and identify your partner or request """"Need partner"""". Your partner must register within five days of your registration or the team will be moved to the wait list. When the identified partner registers after the five day grace period, the team will automatically move from the wait list back to the active list if there is a slot available and both teams have paid. NOTE: Your spot in the tournament is not guaranteed until your partner has registered and all fees have been paid in full.

There are no referees. Matches are self-monitored. If a referee is requested, we will do our best to provide one.

On July 13th, the tournament staff will move up players whose DUPR ratings have changed since registering for this tournament. Players with DUPR reliability rating of 50 or lower may appeal their current rating.

Withdraw deadline is June 29th at midnight. Players may withdraw prior to midnight on June 29th for any reason and receive a refund minus a $20 administrative fee. After June 29th there are no refunds for any reason unless a player has purchased weather and injury tournament insurance. This is an indoor tournament. Weather and Tournament Insurance covers a player if the tournament is canceled due to weather or if a player or a player's partner must withdraw due to injury or a family emergency. Additionally, player registration fees may not be transferred to other players.
